The same weekend, the East Stroudsburg Railroad Tower Society is running a themed excursion tied to the festival, which is worth knowing if you have out-of-town family visiting. The Festival de la Mariposa the weekend before, on September 19, lands at Dansbury Park rather than downtown, but it pulls the same crowd back and forth between the park and the restaurants after.
When You Want a Weekend That Isn't a Festival
Not every Saturday needs a program. The recurring options are steadier than most residents give them credit for.
The Sherman Theater in downtown Stroudsburg continues to book national touring acts. The East Stroudsburg area has more than 57 upcoming concerts, festivals, and comedy events scheduled at venues like Sherman Theater and Sherman Showcase.
